There are beautiful trails, so you have the option to go for hikes at your discretion.

Optimal health is not just a myth - it is a possibility!

We will practice Hatha yoga and Meditation; talk about foods, dieting vs. eating the right foods; and addressing weight-loss, mid-life issues, and some common health issues with appropriate yoga and nutrition. 

All levels welcome.

The talk and practice:

In this talk we will understand a few very traditional concepts as they relate to various health issues. we will introduce the concept of Ayurvedic constitutions, and how they affect your whole life. Plus, we will learn the theory behind Pranayama and meditation. 
The 90 minute practical session will include the practice of asanas, pranayama, yoga nidra and meditation. We will open up blocked energy channels, which in turn help with squeezing out the daily stresses accumulated in the body.

Has Yoga been something you always wanted to practice, but were never sure where to begin?

Join us for a 3-week intensive workshop series where you will understand and practice concepts that make up the core of yoga. The format of the 3 hour class will comprise of physical practice of postures, pranayama (breathing exercises) and meditation; and there will be a theoretical talk on some of the very fundamental concepts that basically make up yoga, e.g. Energy in the spine, balancing the energy channels, what is Ayurveda, understand your constitution with Ayurveda, what is Pranayama, and how do we practice it correctly; Meditation – why is it so difficult and how to make it easy; balancing the Agni (digestive fire), etc.

The goal of this workshop is to provide easy to understand practical information and engage in a non-competitive physical practice. This will enable you to seamlessly participate in any yoga class or create your own personal practice. 

Teaching Modules:

Friday, April 13th – Sunday, April 15th  - Fundamentals of Yoga and Pranayama

Friday, April 20th – Sunday, April 22nd – Fundamentals of Ayurveda and Nutrition

Friday, April 27th – Sunday, April 29th – Fundamentals of Meditation

Each class will include a complete practice of asana, pranayama and meditation
